The Town of Tyngsboro approved $35k to treat the abundant lily pads to control the pond from being overgrown. In addition the pond is suffering from an invasion of water chestnuts (leaves like parsley with black spiky seed pods). Approx 25 volunteers gathered at the pond to hand pull and gather the kill off.

Four dump truck loads were removed from the pond in just a little over 4 hrs of work. Volunteers were treated to cool beverages and an amazing lunch!
